In the times that we are living in, its crucial to lean on Jesus Christ. I’m writing because I want to encourage someone today. I want you to know that God is with you. The Bible says that He will never leave you nor forsake you. There are times in our lives that we face hard times (the lows in our life), but through these hard times God's glory and power is shown so much more clearly. All of the Apostles faced difficulties in their life time and time again and every time Jesus was there to deliver them from the hands of the enemy. So that means that the same is for you. Your problem or situation is not bigger than God and most assuredly our God is bigger than your situation. I’m reminded of the three Hebrew boys Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. They were in a troubling situation in which they had to bow to the statue of the king at that time, King Nebuchadnezzar, but the boys knew they could not bow before that statue because they bow to no man or thing but only to the one and true living God.
In retaliation, Nebuchadnezzar said because you won’t bow to my statue "I’m going to kill you" and he threw them in a fiery furnace. Now these three Hebrew boys are now facing a crisis in their life where they feel like all hell has broken loose and they have no way in their own power to overcome the seemingly imminent death that lies ahead of them. Even in the midst of their trial, Jesus stepped in; because of their faith, obedience, and trust in God he delivered them out of their trial.
So when it feels like you're not going to make it or it feels like you’re in your own “Fiery Furnace” and there is no way out, trust and wait upon the Lord and he will renew your strength. There were so many times in my own life I've had to learn to lean on Jesus and trust that He was with me. Whether it was financial difficulties, problems at work, or problems in my home. I've learned to call on His name and say “Jesus, I need you, I can’t do this on my own! I don’t know how I’m going to make it. I just feel like throwing in the towel and saying I’m done, I quit! I can’t take this no more. I NEED YOU JESUS!!!”
That's when I’m suddenly reminded of all the people around me that have made it through and how God carried them to victory over their situation and I say to myself if you got them through Lord you’re going to get me through. A song writer once wrote “Though the storms keep on raging in my life, and sometimes it's hard to tell the night from day, still that hope that lies within is reassured as I keep my eyes upon the distant shore I know He'll lead me safely to that blessed place He has prepared. But if the storms don't cease and if the winds keep on blowing in my life, my soul has been anchored in the Lord.” Anchor your life in the Lord. Hebrews 6:19 declares: “Hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast…” God has not brought you this far in your life for you to give up now. Keep fighting, keep praying, and keep pressing. Philippians 3:13-14 says “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
No greater calling than the calling of God. Don’t listen to the negativity that is in your life for it is there to tear you down and count you as defeated, but you are more than a conqueror. Jesus has overcome this world so that you may overcome it as well. Greater is he that is in me then he that is in the world. For no weapon formed against you can prosper. The arrows of this life may get thrown at you but they will not harm you. If God be for us, who can be against us. When the enemy comes in like a flood, the spirit of the Lord will raise up a standard against it. Though it may seem like you’re being tossed and turned by the waves of life, I hear the Lord saying peace, be still, and know that I am God. He will get you through this, God is going to see you through. "Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil: For thou art with me." The scripture says “Though I walk through”, that means you're not staying there, you're just passing by. Keep praying and keep praising Jesus because you're gonna make it. Joy is coming your way. Peace is coming your way. The storm can only last for a night because joy is around the corner in Jesus name. You are loved by the King of kings, the Lord of lords and the Great I AM. No greater love than the Love of Jesus. Cherish that love and give God your all. Trust me when I say its the best thing you will ever do!
